How to read a certificate of analysis (COA)
Updated 2026-07-11
Why the COA is decisive
A certificate of analysis (COA) attests to a lot's real rates, measured in a laboratory. In B2B, it's the document that protects your customs compliance and your resale.
Fields to check
- CBD level: the lot's commercial value.
- THC level: the regulatory threshold — it must respect your delivery country's limit.
- Date and laboratory: a recent COA, issued by an identified lab.
- Lot number: it must match the offered lot exactly.
Best practice
Always compare the declared rate to the measured rate. On Canna-Tech, "Hub-controlled" lots show a rate verified on entry to our Swiss logistics hub.
