In Denmark, the status of CBD depends on how the product is presented. Low-THC hemp flowers and oils are tolerated only for aromatic, technical or collection use, not for smoking or ingestion. Ingestible products fall under the EU Novel Food Regulation: the Fødevarestyrelsen treats CBD extracts as unauthorised in food and removes them from the market. Any product claiming a physiological effect is treated as a medicine and requires authorisation from the Danish Medicines Agency (Lægemiddelstyrelsen). (EN)
