Austria allows hemp from EU-catalogue varieties up to 0.3% THC, and flowers are widely sold. The country has, however, launched a structural reform: since 2025, low-THC flowers fall under the tobacco monopoly, with sale reserved for approved wholesalers and tobacconists by 2029. Ingestible CBD remains unmarketable as food (Novel Food not authorised); compliant cosmetics are more accessible. (EN)
